AOI introduction:

AOI (Automated Optical Inspection, automatic optical inspection) is a device that uses optical imaging and image analysis technology to automatically detect problems such as soldering defects, component errors and omissions, and polarity errors on PCBS (printed circuit boards). It is widely used in SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production lines, mainly for quality inspection after soldering or placement, to ensure product yield and reduce the cost of manual re-inspection.AOI has become an indispensable quality control tool in modern electronic manufacturing. By integrating AI and 3D technologies, it will further enhance the efficiency and accuracy of detection in the future.
 

AOI advantages:

High Detection accuracy: Micron-level detection capability, capable of identifying defects in tiny components such as 01005 (0.4×0.2mm).
 

High-speed Inspection: It can inspect hundreds to thousands of solder joints per second, far exceeding the human eye (manual inspection takes about 5-10 seconds per board).

SPI introduction:

SPI (Solder Paste Inspector) is an automated optical inspection device used to test the quality of paste printing on PCBS. It measures the thickness, area, volume and position offset of solder paste through high-precision 3D scanning technology, ensuring that the solder paste printing before SMT (Surface Mount Technology) placement meets the standards and reducing soldering defects.
 

SPI advantages:

Improve Solder yield: Detect solder paste defects in advance to reduce false soldering, bridging and other defects after reflow soldering (can reduce solder defects by more than 50%).
 

Reduce production costs: Minimize rework and scrapping caused by defective solder paste, and optimize material usage (such as solder paste costs).
